01.25.07 - Bag of Toys album Nooner named in the top 5 CDs of 2006 by the entertainment section of the State News Newspaper. On this list, they share this distinction with other bands like Modeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood, Tea Leaf Green, AOL, and My Morning Jack.

While Bag of Toys may not be anything to gawk at, there is something to be said for the band that is good at what it does. For Bag of Toys, that is straight-up surf music. Tight grooves, guitars and lyrics born right near the beach in San Francisco, Californ-i-a. Audiences may even recognize their song "Share" from the latest Zune TV commercial. There is no better way to enjoy a day in the sun than with a bag of toys.

BAG OF TOYS GOES GLOBAL WITH SONG "SHARE" FROM NOONER USED IN A NATIONAL TV COMMERCIAL FOR THE MICROSOFT ZUNE PLAYER!
12.17.06 - Bag of Toys' song "Share" off of their debut album NOONER is currently being used in a nation TV commercial for The Microsoft's Zune Player. We personally viewed the commercial during Sunday Night Football, The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Bag of Toys Plays Slims Friday Oct. 20th w/ The Expendables & 880 South
10.24.06 - We have been fortunate enough to be invited by The Expendables (the band that played after us and before Fishbone at The Independent show a few months back) to open for them on Friday Oct. 20th at Slims in San Francisco.

Update:We just wanted to thank everyone that came out early to the Expendables/880 South/Bag of Toys Sims show in San Francisco last Friday and got a chance to catch us...many for the first time. Hopefully we'll get a chance to play for more of you in the future. We had a kick ass time and we were honored to have The Expendables invite us to open for them.

09.04.06 - Bag of Toys song "Last Wave" will be featured in legendary film maker's DVD release of "The Occumentary", A video documentary of Mark Occhilupo (an Australian surfer of God-like status) from the humble beginning to the incredible present. We've been told by Jack McCoy that Occy loves the new footage and the pairing with our song.
